Congratulations AP

What an exciting 7 days of jumps racing it has been, this time last week McCoy was on 3,998 winners with 2 rides the following day at Chepstow. We all knew it was a matter of a day or two before he had the 4,000 sewn up and the excitement grew as he came home in front on his second mount at Chepstow on the Wednesday.

Booked for two rides at Towcester, over 4,000 people turned out to watch McCoy on two favourites, everyone certain they were going to witness history. AP didn't have it all his own way though, coming home in 5th upon his first mount and looked beaten a few hurdles out on his second, but in true vintage McCoy style he pulled Mountain Tunes past his competitors and across the line to win by less than a length, achieving a magnificent feat that will forever be marked in the record books.

We were lucky enough to welcome the champ to Southwell on Friday and marked the occasion with a commemorative racecard.

He was beaten on his only mount of the day to deny him the perfect start to the next milestone, however returned to us for yesterday's meeting and secured his third win in three days aboard Connectivity.

Congratulations AP!
