Scouts take over the racecourse!

Thousands of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers took over Southwell Racecourse on Friday 4th May for a weekend of fun and entertainment. 3 days of activities were organised to commemorate not only the Olympics and Jubilee, but to also celebrate a massive year for the Notts Scouts. With a 10 percent increase in annual membership, they really do have something to shout about! We were delighted to have so many young people at the racecourse over the weekend, with Go Karting, Live Music and fireworks for them all to enjoy, the photos show just how much fun the young people had! Matt Rooney, head of Notts Scouts said "This weekend is the biggest thing we have ever done for Notts kids. It's been amazing seeing everyone together and having one big party. We've never seen anything like it before".
