If you came to the racecourse on Friday 20th April at Southwell Racecourse, we are sure you enjoyed the great combination of National Hunt racing and live entertainment at our Countryside Race evening.
The day which included lurcher racing, a parade of hounds in between races and also the Charity Flat race and a Hunter Chase, was a hit with hard core racegoers and families alike!
Live band Wild Wood rocked the night away after racing with a great set of tunes, with classics such as David Gray, Paul Weller, Gnarles Barkley and the Beatles being rocked out!
The day will be supported The Hunt Staff fund and The Hunt Staff Benefit Society. The Hunt Staff Fund assists Hunt Staff who have no pension arrangements and also provides help in cases of hardship to Hunt Staff, their widows or dependents.
The Carriage Driving sports Groups for Drivers with Disabilities charity will also benefit from the day. The group consists of disabled people from all walks of life from around Britain catering for drivers keen to improve their driving skills and providing a structure for the selection and training of members wishing to compete as individuals or in teams, both nationally and internationally.
